Fort Bliss Museum and Old Ironsides Museum

Fort Bliss Museum and Old Ironsides Museum portray the rich history of this Army post from its establishment in downtown El Paso in 1849 with a regiment of mounted infantry to its present day status as America’s Tank Division Museum. It tells the story of the “Old Ironsides” Division through use of artifacts, three-dimensional exhibits, dioramas and graphic displays interpreting the rich history, heritage, legacy and lineage of the 1st Armored Division. Both museums are located in Building 1735, Marshall Road, Fort Bliss. Free admission. (Enter Fort Bliss through Cassidy Gate off Highway 54.)
