Escape into a new adventure at the El Paso Zoo! Explore the newly added multi-level Foster Tree House Playground with five tree houses; the tallest rising 16 feet above the ground. Trek through four slides, crazy tunnels, cargo netting and daring bridges. Take a journey through exhibits representing the Americas, Asia and Africa. The Passport to Africa Exhibit showcases exotic species, including lions, zebras, giraffes, meerkats, waterfowl, and will feature a new Red River hog exhibit this summer. Meet the giraffes AJ, Juma, and Bonsu, while feeding them during our Giraffe Encounters (check schedule for days/times & price). Jump on the African Star train to take an adventure around Africa. After your train ride, head to the Americas and visit with the California sea lions, spider monkeys, Mexican wolves and a completed Reptile House with four new exhibits opening this summer. Take a stroll to Asia to visit Malayan orangutans, Asian elephants, Malayan tigers, Siamangs and more. And don’t forget your towel from late spring through fall so you can take a moment to splash around in the Hunt Family Desert Spring, a family-friendly water feature designed to cool off the kids. The El Paso Zoo sits on 35 acres of fun and adventure for the whole family. Animal encounters and educational programs are offered daily. Open daily at 9:30 a.m. Ticket booth closes at 4 p.m. Zoo grounds close at 5 p.m. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Admission: 3–12 yrs. $7.50; 13–59 yrs. $12; 60 yrs. & older $9; children 2 and under free; active military with I.D. $9.
