El Paso Railroad & Transportation Museum

El Paso Railroad & Transportation Museum is the home of the magnificently restored "classic" American 1857 locomotive, EP&SW No. 1. Here you'll find a history of the locomotive and the construction of the second transcontinental railroad through El Paso. Exhibits cover many facets of transportation, including use of railroads during wartime and urban transit from the 1800 mule car through the mid-19th century streamlined electric art-deco streetcars. Tours also offered.
