This memorial recognizes the 1963 amicable resolution of the dispute between U.S. and Mexico over this section of the borderland. A 55-acre park, museum, Los Paisanos Gallery, an outdoor amphitheatre and a 500-seat theater are included. This graveyard was started in 1856 and by the 1880s had become the main burial site for El Paso. A section of Concordia was El Paso's "Boot Hill" and is where the infamous gunfighter John Wesley Hardin is buried.

This museum is located in a re-creation of the Fort Bliss post as it appeared in Magonffinsville from 1854-1868. Visitors experience 1857 life at Fort Bliss through authentic period room exhibits and outdoor displays. Interpretive exhibits tell the story of this important U.S. Army post from its inception in 1849 to present day. Free admission. Open daily 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed on New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Just a 45-minute drive east from downtown El Paso, Hueco Tanks, one of the most historical sites in Texas because of its pictographs and its use as a stagecoach stop along the old Butterfield Trail, is a haven for rock climbers from around the world. Climbing, hiking, rock art, and birding tours are held regularly. Camping is available. Access is limited to control crowd size, and reservations are strongly recommended even for daytime visits. An adobe-style hacienda built in 1875 by settler Joseph Magoffin. The home's adobe (sun-dried brick) walls are four feet thick. Some of the furnishings date back to the time of the original owner. Open Wed-Sun 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
