Chamizal National Memorial

Chamizal National Memorial commemorates the peaceful settlement of a long-standing land dispute between the U.S. and Mexico along the Texas-Mexico border. The 55-acre memorial park is primarily a culture center with a museum, three art galleries, an outdoor amphitheatre, and an indoor theater with an interesting 12-minute film on its history. The memorial celebrates the culture and heritage of the U.S./Mexico borderland and is home to, among other events, Music Under the Stars, a free summertime outdoors concert series, and Siglo de Oro, an international celebration of the dramatic arts from Spain's Golden Age.
