Centennial Museum and Gardens

Centennial Museum and Gardens

Part of the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), the Centennial Museum presents a history of life in the Chihuahuan Dessert region, which encompasses New Mexico, West Texas, and Mexico, through several contemporary exhibits depicting life and culture on the border and also features a wide array of exhibits on the Americas and UTEP activities. Virtual tours are available too. The gardens grow and artfully display over 600 plants native to the Chihuahuan Dessert region and sponsor FloraFEST and Native Plant Sale, where you can learn about and buy plants that are both naturally water efficient and quite beautiful. The museum is open Tue–Sat 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The gardens are open daily from dawn to dusk. Parking is available behind the museum.
